MRS. FRANCIS M. HOWARD

LANDRUM, Dec. 24 - Mrs. Francis M. Howard, 67, died at 12:30 p.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.M. Dempsey. She had been seriously ill for three weeks.

Surviving are five sons, Vardry, Virgil, Homer, Horace and Chieve Howard; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Lancaster and Mrs. Dempsey; five brothers, James, Will Roe, Pandy, John and Dock Sudduth; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Bright. A number of grandchildren survive.

Funeral rites will be held from the First Baptist Church Thursday at 3 o'clock with Rev. Archie Ellis, Rev. James Howard and Rev. J.G. Stroud officiating. Interment will be in the Landrum cemetery.

Grandsons will be pallbearers: Claude, Furman, Hulan and William Howard, Vernon Dempsey and Harold Lowe.

After 3 p.m. Wednesday the body will be at Mrs. Dempsey's home.
