In last week's "Courier" we take the following death from New Cassel: Nicolaus Braun, an old pioneer, passed away last Sunday after a long illness. The remains were handed over to the earth on Tuesday with the participation of numerous citizens. Rev. J. Bertram conducted the funeral. The deceased emigrated from Meiningen, Trier District, to America in 1845 and settled in Wisconsin, where he lived in Washington County for several years, but lived in Fond du Lac County for more than 35 years and enjoyed the respect of all who came into contact with him in dealings. He reached an age of nearly 72 years. May he rest in peace.
