Corine Petrey, 69, of Woodbine, passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Corn Creek Baptist Church.
One son, Wayne Petrey; one grandson, Jessie Wayne Petrey; her parents, Lonzo and Olah Payton; and four sisters-in-laws, Gladys Stinson and her husband Charles, Nellie Petrey, Mossie Bishop and Madge Mitchell, preceded her in death.
Her survivors include her loving husband, Clinton Petrey of Woodbine; two children, Lanny Petrey and his wife Debra of Woodbine and Cathy Hinkle and her husband Benny of Corbin; her grandchildren, Dustin, Levi, Nathaniel Petrey, Chrissi Parker and her husband David, Bryan Hinkle, Tessa Petrey, Ashley Petrey and Kalley Petrey; two great-grandchildren, Chelbie Petrey and Lexi Gregory; three sisters, Louise Harmon and her husband Harold, Nancy Anderson and her husband Dennis and Fran Messer and her husband Johnny, all of Woodbine; one brother, Jerry Payton of Woodbine; one sister-in-law, Geneva Goodin and her husband Lonzo; two brother-in-laws, Cliffor Petrey and his wife Glenda and Jack Bishop, all of Woodbine; and several nieces and nephews. Corine also leaves behind other family members and numerous friends who will mourn her passing. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003 at the Corn Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Decker officiating. Burial will follow in the Corn Creek Cemetery.
The Petrey family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today (Monday) at the Hart Funeral Home.
The family has entrusted the Hart Funeral Home with all arrangments.
