Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 16 from the Zion Lutheran church for Mrs. Anna Schulke. Rev. A. C. Seltz officiated. Pallbearers were Fred Lemke, William Schulke, Eilliam Wachter, Raymond Kvitek, William Froemming and William Rapp. Interment was made in Mt. Calvary cemetery at Miltona.
Anna Emma Lemke was born June 15, 1887 at Richardton, N.D., the daughter of August and Pauline Lemke. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1907 she was united in marriage to Robert H. Schulke. They made their home on a farm in Carlos township until 1943, when they retired from farming and moved to Miltona village. In 1945, Mr. Schulke passed away, and for four years Mrs. Schulke made her home with her children. For the past three years, Mrs. Schulke has made her residence in Alexandria.
On the morning of November 11, she suffered a heart attack and was taken to St. Lukes hospital where she passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 12 at the age of 65 years, four months and 27 days.
Surviving are her aged mother, Mrs. Pauline Lemke, who is 89 and eight daughters: (Lena) Mrs. Frank Rajdl of Alexandria, (Martha) Mrs. Albert Miller of Alexandria, (Hazel) Mrs. Gerhard Klausman of Alexandria, (Francis) Mrs. Frank Miller of Osakis, (Ella) Mrs. Walter Froemming of Miltona, (Lily) Mrs. Ervin Dreger of Parkers Prairie, (Myrtle) Mrs. Theodore Zastrow of Garfield, (Agnes) Mrs. Edgar Zastrow of Alexandria.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, one brother, Herman Lemke of Henning and five sisters: Mrs. William Wachter of Alexandria, Mrs. Chris Weisfenning of Garfield, Mrs. Rose McCord of Alexandria, Mrs. Clifford Busch of Alexandria, Mrs. Raymond Kvitek of Lowry.
Her father, husband and one grandchild, Beverly Jean Froemming, have preceded her in death.
