OBITUARIES
Josephine Yearsley
Malad - Mrs. Josephine Jones Yearsley, 72, of St. John, Idaho, died Monday morning in the Oneida Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Yearsley was born Sept. 26, 1892, in St. John, a daughter of Evan G. and Josephine Deschamps Jones. She was married to N. Melvin Yearsley on Sept. 24, 1913, in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was educated in St. John and Malad and received a lifetime teacher's certificate from Idaho State University. She taught school in Stone, Woodruff and St. John, Idaho. She was active in the LDS Church.
Surviving are her husband, two sons and seven daughters, N. Dale Yearsley, E. Joyce Yearsley, both of Orem, Utah; Mrs. Darrell (Norma) Schiffman, Logan; Mrs. Perry (Elmo) Smith, Ventura, Calif.; Mrs. Don (Rula) Gowers, Nephi; Mrs. Woodrow A. (Twila) Giles, Morgan; Mrs. Phil (Theone) Rees, Hunter, Utah; Mrs. DeVon (Ina) Danials, Ogden; Mrs. Fred (Karen) Rinehart, Salt Lake City; 28 grandchildren, six brothers and two sisters, Dr. L. Mitchell Jones, Salt Lake City; John D. Jones, Stockton, Calif.; Evan G. Jones, St. John; Ruel Jones, Provo; Marion Jones, Seattle; Golden Jones, San Carlos, Calif.; Mrs. H. T. (Sarah) Stayner, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Mrs. William R. (Rosalie) Neilson, Redwood City, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the St. John Ward Chapel with Bishop James Madsen officiating. Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home Wednesay evening and Thursday prior to services. Burial in Malad City Cemetery.
