JOYCE EVA BURNS passed away May 28, 2009. She was born February 17, 1921 in Houston, Texas to William G. and Norine M. Christen. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Burns; brothers, William A. and Donald "Red" Christen; and her grandson Hunter Burns. She is survived by her son, Ronald Burns; daughter, Marsha Burns; granddaughter, Rachael Miclette and husband Toby; great grandson Hunter; sister, Beverly Burt of Brenham along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, June 1, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Allison Cambre officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories. In lieu of usual remembrances contribution in memory of Joyce Burns may be directed to Terrace United Methodist Church, 1203 Wirt Road, Houston, TX. 77055.
