Fred Climer, 86, of Norfork, died Sunday (July 21, 1991) at his residence.
Services will be held at 2 pm today at the Roller Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Melton officiating. Visitation was Monday at Roller Funeral Home, and burial will be at the Lower Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Climer was born Oct. 9, 1904, at McAlester, Okla., and was a long time Norfork resident. He was a retired construction worker and was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Climer married the former Anna L. Small on Nov. 22, 1973, at Norfork.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, of the home; a son, Cleo Climer of Cleveland, Okla.; five step-sons, Alvin Reynolds and E. J. Weatherford, both of Norfork, Bud Reynolds of Springdale, E. J. Reynolds of Kansas City, Mo., and Ronnie Weatherford of Stigler, Okla.; a daughter, Hazel Harris of Mountain Home; two step-daughters, Juanita Yancey of Central Point, Ore., and Annita Caraway of Norfork; one half sister, Argie Rowland of Paragould; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Climer was preceded in death by both parents, Marion and Annie Oels Climer; two sons, Joe and Edward Climer, and two daughters, Vonda Lee Climer and Willie Mae Griffin.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Reynolds, Jerry Gray, James Sisk, Kyle Jeffery, F. L. "Lefty" Harvey and Dale Greer.
