Mrs. Jennie Kessner, 78, widow of George P. Kessner of Stockett, died at a local hospital Thursday.
Mrs. Kessner was born Aug. 8, 1964, in Ohio and came to Cascade county in 1890. She and her husband lived on a homestead near Stockett, where she resided until the time of her death. Her husband died a few years ago.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Kessner of Belt, Fred Kessner of Spokane and William Kessner of Armington; four daughters, Mrs. Henry Knaup, Stockett; Mrs. Stanley LaSalle, Raynesford; Mrs. John Irwin, Lewiston, Idaho; and Mrs. Conrad Haugen, Belt; a sister, Mrs. Mary Felkner of Centerville, Iowa; and 15 grandchildren.
