Daniel was the son of Jeremiah & Ester [Courtright} Vandemark married June 11, 1812 Fairfield Co. Ohio Sarah Hubbell. He served two tours in the War of 1812 with Great Britain drafted near New Lancaster OH serving under Captain Peter Huber also under Jno Herrison Upper Sandusky Ref. National Archives∼Daniel was the husband of Sarah (Sally) (Hubbell) Vandemark 1791-1869

He was the son of Jeremiah Vandermark and Esther (Courtright) Vandermark

Daniel moved to Ohio where he farmed and made shoes. In 1837 he moved to Allen Co., Ohio and in 1838 he moved Sugar Creek Twp., Putman Co., Ohio
