Ellsworth Curry died at his home in Lincoln Township, Saturday afternoon, February 14, 1920 of pneumonia after a brief illness. He contracted a cold at a sale about to weeks ago. Mr. Curry was an industrious, upright and kindhearted man and will be greatly missed in his neighborhood. A wide circle of friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved family. A brief funeral service was held at the house by Rev. E. A. Moore, assisted by Rev. Mr. Buttman, a long time friend of the family. Interment was made in the Quincy Cemetery.
Ellsworth Curry was born in Lincoln Township, September 9, 1891, and was 29 years, 5 months, and 5 days old at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Gertie Howell four years ago last August. They have one child, a son, Donald. Mr. Curry is survived by his wife and child, hi mother, Mrs. Lizzie Curry, and four brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Johnson, Mrs. Celia Probst, Cleveland, Arthur, Clint, Guy, Florence, and Grace. Also by two nieces, Fay Probst and Grace Johnston, and a nephew, Paul Johnston, and other relatives. One brother, Trimble Curry was killed in the battle of Chateau Thierry, France, a year ago last July. His father, Joe Curry, died two years ago last December.
