Nola graduated from Enterprise High School. She later married her sweetheart, George Albert Clove, August 31, 1938, in Parowan, Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on February 1, 1939. Their marriage of 70 years, blessed them with five children, twenty-eight grandchildren, and fifty-four great-grandchildren. Nola was an immaculate housekeeper. She prepared fine foods and exquisite desserts. She exemplified the best of life through her cooking, sewing, and caring for her family. Throughout her life she enjoyed reading from a variety of texts and often read the Ensign from cover to cover. She also loved walking, square dancing, oil painting, appliquéing quilts, and Christmas.
Nola was a gracious, caring, genteel lady. Everyone who knew her loved her sweet, gentle ways.
Nola is survived by her husband, George; her children, Pamela (Ronald Beatty) of Mona, Utah, David Clove (LaDawn) of St. George, Utah, Phyllis (Ron Mendenhall) of Cedar City, Utah, Cynthia (Mike Sullivan) of Hurricane, Utah, and Michelle Clove of Hurricane, Utah; a sister, Mary (Lloyd Stratton) of Logandale, Nevada; and a brother, James Truman (Joann) of Washington, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Beth, Alice, Rowena; and brother, Elmer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Ninth Ward Chapel, 274 South 100 West, Hurricane, Utah. Interment will be in the Enterprise Utah Cemetery.
