Christine Moree Parker, 81, of Valdosta died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Bowling Green, Florida on August 15, 1927 to the late Guss, Sr. and Avie Roberts Moree. Mrs. Parker was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church and a devout Christian. She enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sisters. She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Caroline P. Wilkinson and Crisp Wilkinson, two sons and daughters in law, Kenneth W. and Rachel Parker, Malcolm G. and Melanie Parker, her grandchildren, Libby (Ralph) Carey, Kim (Joey) Spivey all of Hahira, Stephanie (Stevie) Young, Jason (Sarah) Parker, Naomi Christine Wilkinson, great grandchildren, Madison Nichole Crews, Noah Michael Perdue, Holly Elizabeth Spivey, Dawkins Todd Parker and Caden Parker Young, five sisters and a brother in law, Lois Hardman, Evelyn Hardman, Annette Courson, Cecilia and Paul Rauen and Nell Yeomans, sister in law, Mattie Lou Moree and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace V. Parker and a brother, Guss Moree, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Hardee and Rev. Michael Bass officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideons International, Memorial Bible Fund, P.O. Box 4131 Valdosta Georgia, 31604 -4131.
