Lois Moree Hardman, 92, of Hahira died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Heritage House Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 2, 1924 in Bowling Green, Florida to the late Gus and Avie Roberts Moree. The Moree family moved to Brooks County, GA in the 1930's and Mrs. Hardman attended the Brooks County Schools graduating from Morven High School in 1942. Mrs. Hardman moved to Lowndes County in 1945 after her marriage to the late George W. Hardman. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had worked as a nurse's aide at the local nursing homes. She also had served as a companion and caregiver for several elderly families in Lowndes County. Mrs. Hardman was baptized as young mother and a faithful member of the Fellowship Baptist Church near Cecil for over fifty years. She attended church faithfully as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Hardman loved her church family with the same zeal as her biological family.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Fellowship Cemetery with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating.
