My speculation is that this is the brother of 1793 John Bagby. He is the son of (KY) William Bagbey & his first wife Mary Fearn who died soon after Wm was born & then in 1824 his father Wm Bagbey married a second Mary Fearn (Record In Paris KY courthouse)
1813 Wm in his brother 1820 Scott Co census. John raised Wm & brought him to MO around 1827.
He repaired Wagons & lived near Yates MO He built the 1st Bagby Mill
He married 1st, Virginia Harrison & then Nancy H Davis
Had children with both
1834 James Harrisom Bagby(Owner of the Bagby MILL)
1838 William H Bagby

1841 Robert G. Bagby
1841 Virginia Catheryn Mathis
1844 Susan Bagby
1846 Richard Bagby
The Ferguson Farm that they were buried in was a few miles north of Roanoke , MO on 3 hwy west side. No headstones were found, Cemetery abandoned destroyed
