NORTH OGDEN - Leo 'Pete' Carl Pickford, 75, died Saturday, November 30, 1996 at his home of natural causes.

He was born March 19, 1921 in North Ogden, a son of Parley James and Rozella Taylor Pickford.

He married Donna Berrett on December 4, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a lifelong resident of North Ogden. He graduated from Weber High School with the class of 1939.

He was a member of the North Ogden 4th LDS Ward where he was an Elder.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre.

Mr. Pickford had worked as a dairy farmer, a bricklayer and as a U.S. Postal worker.

He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are his wife of North Ogden; two sons and two daughters, Larry C. and Madelyn Pickford, Roy; Greg B. and Sandy Pickford, Littleton, Colo.; Susan and Richard H. Glaser, Cincinnati, Ohio; Julie and John L. Lloyd, Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Edwin Ralph (Ruth) Pickford, Ogden; Naomi (Carlyle) Larkin, Twin Falls, Idaho; Jean Jones, St. George.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Thelma, and one brother, Arnold.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., with Bishop James Healy of the North Ogden 4th Ward, officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, North Ogden Cemetery.
