Fred Clayton, 77, 1510 Juanita Ave., died Tuesday afternoon at Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital. Mr. Clayton was a native of England and was a production engineer for General Motors Corp. Moving to Fort Pierce in 1949 from Detroit, Mr. Clayton was a member of the Masons. Survivors include his wife, Jean C. Dent Clayton; three daughters, all of Detroit; a son, of Texas; one brother and four sisters, all of California; and six grandchildren. Services and burial will be in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Baird Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements
