Robert "Bob" D. Barnes, 76, Hamilton, Mo., formerly of Kingston, Mo., and North Kansas City, Mo., passed away on March 1, 2007, at a hospital in Cameron, Mo. Bob was born on May 23, 1930, in North Kansas City, Mo., to Daniel and Ada Swan Barnes.
He had been a heavy machine operator and had worked for Burdick Construction, Idecker, and also for the Hamilton Township from 1981 2002. He had also formerly been a Caldwell County deputy sheriff. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister and four brothers, Howard, Leroy, Lloyd and Carl. In 1962, he married Shirley Jamison in Hamilton. She survives of the home. Other survivors include daughters Bobbi and Dee of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Tanner and Alexis; two nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m.
until service time at the funeral home. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Memorials may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital. Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3.
