HARTFORD, Ky. - Elbert Murphy, 74, of Route 1, Narrows, died early Wednesday at Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital.
Born Aug. 4, 1898 in Ohio County, he was the son of the late Monroe and Lida Tucker Murphy.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Murphy, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Duke Funeral Home in Hartford, with the Rev. Wayne Lyle, pastor of Island United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Sunnydale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
