Robert L. Fry, 56, Jasonville, died at 3:46 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 1987, in Greene County General Hospital, Linton.
He was born Sept. 9, 1930, in Jasonville to Loyd and Louise Kessinger Fry. He was an employee of the Peabody Coal Co. for the past 20 years. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America Local 1410.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Jones Fry; one daughter, Vicky Pilant, Dugger; one son, Thomas Fry, Jasonville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday in the McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan McCullough and the Rev. Al Jewell officiating. Burial is in Antioch Cemetery, near Dugger. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday.
