Virginia Ruth Fry, 70, of Jasonville, passed away at 2:22 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004 at Sullivan County Community Hospital, Sullivan. Born June 20, 1934 in Clay County, she was the daughter of Paul and Blanche (Perry) Jones. She had been married to Robert Loyd Fry, who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1987. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: one daughter Vicky Divin of Jasonville; one son Tom Fry of Frederick, Md.; six sisters, Gloria Duncan of Bicknell, Anna Mae Robinson of Bicknell, Corene Acker of Muncie, Lorene Pearson of Bloomfield, Glenda Rhoderick of Jasonville; and Marge Chapman of Knox; three brothers, John Jones of Bicknell, Gardner Jones of Bicknell, and Richard Jones of Clay City; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Loyd Fry; two sons, Terry Wayne Fry and Ricky Lee Fry; and two sisters, Flo Phipps and Frieda McDaniel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville with her son Pastor Tom Fry officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Dugger.
