Annette Windsor Arnold Sherman, 89, of Tampa, Florida passed away on October 26, 2017, of natural causes. Nanny…Mother…Aunt Nette was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

The graveside funeral service and burial will be held at 2:00pm CT on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the family plot in the Westville Cemetery, Westville, Florida. Pastor Jack Hankins of Emmaus United Methodist Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wilson Funeral Home, Panama City, Florida.

Annette was born the daughter of Charles and Mabel Windsor in Webb, Alabama on February 9, 1928. She was raised in Chipley, Florida with her sisters, Mary and Charlotte. She graduated from Chipley High School, where she played the alto saxophone in the band and was a homecoming queen.

Annette was married to Pershing Arnold until his death in 1972. She was remarried in Orlando, Florida to "Papa" Ralph Sherman until his death in 2001. Annette moved to Tampa, Florida in 2002 to live with her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Danette and Charlie Bodine, and her great grandchildren, Quint and Juliana Bodine.

Annette worked in the Arnold family business of hotels and cottages on Panama City Beach, Florida and eventually moved to Orlando, Florida where she continued in the hotel industry as a hotel manager and later retired as a bookkeeper. Annette enjoyed sewing, needlework, quilting and cross-stitch. Her family is blessed to have so many of her artistic creations to pass down as family heirlooms to the next generations.

Annette is survived by her children: Beverly Platt, Betty Conlon(John) and Marshall Arnold; her grandchildren: William Platt, Danette Bodine(Charlie), Raymond Platt(Sara), Douglas Platt, Leeanne Fleming(Robert), Sherman Platt, Brian Conlon, Bettina Boyington(Mark), Eric Conlon(Brandi), Shay Arnold and Ian Arnold; Great grandchildren: Will Platt, Jackson Platt, Austin Platt, Grace Platt, Quint Bodine, Juliana Bodine, Aaron Platt, Max Platt, Ashlynn Platt, Julia Platt, Eliza Platt, Isaac Fleming, Riley Fleming, Wyatt Fleming, Mason Fleming, Molly Fleming, Abram Fleming, Elias Platt, Ezra Platt, CJ Conlon, Wesley Conlon; Great Great Grandson: Benning Wamsley; beloved nephew Charles Woods and niece Sarah Adams, and many other cousins, family and friends. A special recognition to Betty Bodine, Carole Raikunen, Fay Altamura and Patty Sherbondy for their years of dedication and support to Annette. Special appreciation to the staff at Genesis West Bay Tampa in Oldsmar, Florida for their ongoing care for Annette over the last few years and their support in her last days.

Annette is preceded in death by her husbands, Pershing Arnold and Ralph Sherman, son-in-law Bill Platt, and sister Mary Hinson.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Emmaus United Methodist Church.
