CSA, Private, Company G, 29th North Carolina Infantry. Wounded at Franklin, Tennessee on 30 November 1864. He died at Nashvile, Tennessee on 8 May 1865 and was buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.Parents: Peter Peterson (1799-1859), son of Tobias & Margaret; and Dicey Stroup (1806-1869). Burial sites unknown.
