Cristina Basterrechea was born July 24, 1895 in Abadiano, Viscaya, Spain, a daughter of Genero Basterechea and Grancisca Aguirre. She immigrated to the US, arriving in New York Oct 21, 1917 aboard the ship "Alfonso XII". Her destination was shown as Hiawatha, Utah.
Chistina married Jose Jouquin Aldasoro and had a daughter Mary Louise and son Albert John.
Christina died March 2, 1977 in Boise, Idaho.

PRICE- Cristina B. Aldasoro, 81, Price, died March 2, 1977, in a Boise, Idaho hospital following a long illness.

Born July 24, 1895, Abadiano, Vizcaya, Spain, to Genaro and Grancisca Aguirre Basterrechea. Married Joaquin Aldasoro, Sept. 22, 1927, Cathedral of the Madleleine, Salt Lake City. He died Oct. 30, 1964. Member Catholic Church. Lifetime member Notre Dame d'Loras Altar Society.

Came to Carbon County in 1917, from Basque country. She and her late husband were active in operating ranching and livesotck business in Colorado and Utah.

Survivors: son and daughter, Albert, Montrose, Colo.; Mrs. Bruce (Mary Louise) Leonard, Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Monica McDaid, Anchorage, Alas.; Lydia Leonard, Boulder, Colo.; Mark Leonard, Boise, Idaho; Angela, Pamela, Cristine Aldasoro, Montrose, Colo.; great-granddaughter, Jennifer McDaid, Anchorage, Alas.; sister-in-law, Josefa Aguirre, Price; sister, Dorotea Egoscue, Martina Sorhouet, Tonapah, Nev.; Mrs. Gean (Frances) Hirigoyen, San Francsico, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10 a.m., Notre Dame d'Lords Church, with Rev. Francisco-Aldasoro officiating. Holy Rosary Sunday, 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Chapel, where friends may call Saturday and Sunday. Burial Price City Cemetery.
