Martin was born July 9, 1922 on his parents farm in Hartford, South Dakota. He married Betty Trout February 10, 1946 at Marion, Indiana. He served in the Army and Air Force and was a pilot of the C-47. In 1948 he moved to Sioux Falls. Mr. Levasseur was employed by the Sioux Falls Fire Department for 20 years and retired in 1970.
Survivors include his widow Mrs. Betty Levasseur; one son Charles Ray; two sisters; Mrs. Leoma Even of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Florene Boelsen of Sioux Falls and brother LeRoy of Hartford.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday June 10, at Miller Funeral Home. Martin died at a local hospital Saturday morning June 7, at the age of 52. Service of interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
