Alice Lucinda Runyon, 75, 115 North Woodlawn St. died yesterday afternoon in Burgin Nursing Manor.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Vernon Gibb will officiate; burial will be in the Moravian Cemetery.
A native of Edwards County, Mrs. Runyon was born near West Salem to Charles Henry and Minnie Evelyn Scherer Knakmuhs (sic). She married Oscar L. Runyon April 19, 1929. She was a member of the Moravian Church at West Salem, then transferred to the Congregational Chrisian Church of Olney.
Surviving are her husband; children, Evelyn Ahlfield, Leo E. and Donald R. Runyon, Olney, Charles E. Runyon, the Phillipines, Carrie Rosalie Laughlin, Lawrenceville, and Richard W. Runyon, Mattoon; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Anna Cleaver, West Liberty, and Rosie Williams, Kissimmie, Fla.; and a brother, Paul Knakmhs, Walnut Grove, Minn.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Harriet Ahfield, Carrie Williams, and an infant; and three brothers, Grover, Lester, and Gideon Knakmuhs.
