Aaron was the son of Daniel and Susannah (Xander) Mosier. He married Ellen Farley April 29, 1855 and they had one child. After her death, Aaron married Justina Fleisher October 25, 1860 and they had ten children. He served in the Civil War as a Farrier (Blacksmith) with the rank of Private. He was with the 18th Cavalry Pennsylvania Volunteers from November 9, 1862 to July 11, 1865.
