Honorable Horatio Cushing

Son of Joseph Cushing and Ruth Stockbridge, grandson of of Lt Col Elijah Cushing and Elizabeth Barstow, Dr Benjamin Stockbridge and Ruth Otis.

Husband of Ruth Bailey, the daughter of John Bailey and Mary Hill. They wee married 21 April 1811 in Pembroke and had fourteen children:

Horatio lived in his father's house, near the "Four Corners", in Hanover. The house is figured on page 290 of Barry's "History of Hanover." He was Selectman for 1820, 1823 and 1824, and from 1826 to 1832; also Representative in 1831 and 1833. Horatio owned a schooner "Sally" of 95 tons in 1802.
