Age 63 of Wilmington, DE, Died Sunday May 17, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital Wilm.
Charlotte was born in Chester, PA to Clyde E. and Thelma Burroughs Jones. She was raised in Middletown Twp. and Brookhaven and attended Sun Valley High School in Aston graduating in 1964. She worked for Shipley Manor Nursing Home for 18 years first as a Waitress then as a receptionist and last in the Accounting Dept. as a clerk. A longtime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in N. Wilmington she was also a woman who devoted her life to her home and family.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James W. Garris; 2 daughters, Robin G. Parker of Claymont and Sherry Garris of Wilmington, DE; 1 sister, Sandra Muhleisen of Bethel Twp., PA; her mother, Thelma Burroughs Jones of N. Wilmington; and 3 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Clyde E. Jones who died in 1995 and her son, James W. Garris who died in 2003.
]Her funeral service will be held 11 am, Friday, May 22, at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, 1459 Market St. Linwood where there will be calling from 10-11 am. Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery Linwood.
