Lawrence Diamond, prominent Dallas lumbermn, died Saturday at his home, 4440 Westway. He was sixty-seven. Diamond, a resident of Dallas for fifty-eight years, was secretary treasurer of the George W Owens Lumber Company. All of his business career was in lumber.

He was born in lumber country, at Henderson, Rusk County, Jan 30, 1884. He moved with his parents to the Oak Cliff section of Dallas in 1893. Since boyhood he had been a
member of the Methodist Church, and he was a member of the board of Stewards of Highland Park Methodist Church for a number of years.

Diamond was married to Miss Alma Owens in Dallas October 8, 1907. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Lawrence Owens Diamond of Dallas, and a sister, Mrs Vera Chittim of Houston.

Funeral Services will be held at the George A Brewer Funeral Chapel, 3603 Ross Avenue, at 10 a.m. Services will be conducted by Bishop William C Martin and by the Rev William H Dickinson Jr., associate pasor of Highland Park Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be L W Blaylock, Lloyd Blaylock, Goerge D Blaylock, Ben O Spurgin, George R Spurgin and Robert T Owens.
