Mrs. Prunty's Rites Scheduled
Mrs. F. O. (Ada) Prunty, former Blackwell resident, died Saturday morning in a Dallas, Tex., hospital.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Newkirk and burial will be in the Newkirk Cemetery.
Mrs. Prunty lived in Blackwell many years before moving to Newkirk. She is the cousin of Mrs. Seth Kemp, 725 West Kansas.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Helen Peppard, Austin, Tex., Mrs. [Zina] Adeline Rogers, Kingfisher, Mrs. Peggy Coffman, Seminole and Maudine Prunty, Corpus Christi, Tex.
[In working on her family and trying to trace them back to England with her grandson Roy Coffman, a document was found from an old magazine in Montana. It is about a doctor, named Arthur Clyde Knight that died in Montana, but was from Harrison, VA. It shows his linage back to Gus Knight, who's parents came from England. The magazine can be found on the Mocavo website and it titled, "Montana, Its Story and Biography (Volume 2) - Page 225."]
