Helen's parents were Felix Orean and Ada Maud Knight Prunty. Her parents were born in Ritchie County, WV. They moved to Newkirk, Kay, OK to work in the oil industry and died there.
Helen was married to Richard Kenneth Peppard from MO. He is also buried in this cemetery. He died in 1983.
Her three deceased sisters were: Zina Adeline Prunty Copeland, Felicia "Peggy" Orean Prunty Coffman, and Maudine Martini Prunty, who was never married.

Funeral mass for Bonnie Helen (Prunty) Peppard was held on March 22 in St. Mary's Cathedral in Austin, Texas. She was a former Blackwell resident.
She died March 19 in Austin. Burial was in Assumption Cemetery there.
Helen Peppard was born Aug. 18, 1912, in Avant to Felix O. and Ada Maud Prunty and spent her early years in Blackwell. She attended University Preparatory School at Tonkawa, the University of Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Texas.
She married Richard Kenneth Peppard in 1920 and they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary before his death. They moved to Austin in 1950 and she taught at St. Mary's Catholic Academy and Palm Elementary School for many years.
Active in the Catholic Church, she was the current president of Catholic Women's Study Club, board chairman of St. Vincent de Paul Stores and past resident of Ladies of Charity. She was a member of International Ladies of Charity and attended assemblies in France and Italy where she had an audience with the Pope.
A member of the national Council of Catholic Women, she was bestowed the honor of the Third Order of Carmalite. In 1989, she received the Northwest Sertoma Club of Austin's service to mankind award, one of the few women to be so honored. She also was an officer in Lake Travis Homeowners Association.
Besides her husband, two sons, Richard Kenneth Peppard Jr. and Felix Prunty Peppard, preceded her in death.
Survivors are daughters Katie Cox, Dallas, Texas, and Cynthia Theresa Freytag, Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren and three sisters, Adaline Copeland, Peggy Coffman and Maudine Prunty, all of Oklahoma. Blackwell friends may write Adaline Copeland at No. 3 Mockingbird, Kingfisher, OK 73750
