Kempis Lee Alvey, Jr, age 76, of Cathedral City, CA, died March 21,1995 in Rancho Mirage, CA at the Eisenhower Medical Center He was born October 24, 1918 in Louisville, KY to Nannie Agnita Carrico & Kempis Lee Alvey, Sr He retired from Garrett Corp after 33 yrs of service prior to moving to Cathredal City in 1987 He and his wife owned the Whale of a Wash in Manhattan Beach, CA and Alvey Pool Service in Cathedral City He was owner of Alvey Tax and Notary Service locally He served in the US Navy during WWII and brought his family to CA in 1949. Survivors include his wife Pamela Gaynor Alvey; sons Robert Lee (Ann) Alvey of Carson CA, Lawrence Earl (Roberta) Alvey of California City, CA and Gary James (Marcille) Alvey of Healdsburg, CA; daughter Carol Jean (Marshall) Oberg of Chino Hills, CA and stepdaughter Nicole Mandy (Mo) Masjedizadeh of San Jose, CA; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren Services are private in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cypress, Tues March 28, 1995
