Dorothy "Dot" Crane Simpson, 80, Eldon, died May 30, 2001, in Jefferson City. She was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Eldon, a daughter of Merrell and Bernice Granstaff Crane. She was married Feb. 8, 1941, in Branson, to Herb E. Simpson, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Christian Church, Eldon, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Eldon Golf and Country Club. She was active in local bridge clubs.
The remains were cremated. Services will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Eldon. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
