Mrs. Nettie Bookmyer
After a lingering illness of several months, Mrs. Nettie Bookmyer passed away at her home north of Clyde Sunday evening at 8:10 aged 62 years, 1 month and 11 days. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Mary's church at 9:30 conducted by Rev. Fr. Tennessen and the body was laid to rest in St. Mary's cemetery.
Nettie Alberti, daughter of Louis and Theresa Alberti, was born in Sandusky, June 9, 1859, and spent all but a couple of years of her life in Clyde and vicinity. On Jan. 11, 1887, she was united in marriage to Joseph Bookmyer and to them were born six children all of whom survive, namely, John L., Mrs. Karl Hutchinson and Leo Bookmyer of Clyde, Mrs. Rudolph Beier of Kingsway, Miss Theresa Bookmyer of Sandusky, and Miss Helen Bookmyer of Fremont. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. J. C. L. Krebs of Clyde, Mrs. Joseph Lang of Bellevue and John Alberti of Toledo. Her husband passed away 18 years ago.
Mrs. Bookmyer has always lived a devoted Christian life, endearing herself to everyone whom she came in contact, and her motherly nature has won her a permanent place in the hearts of those who mourn her passing.
