LAKEVILLE - Harvey W. Lippy, 91, of Lakeville, IN, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, in Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation, South Bend. He was born August 10, 1917, in Kendall County, IL, to Benjamin and Margaret (Shropshire) Lippy. On January 12, 1946, in South Bend, he married Josephine (Lemanski) Lippy, who preceded him in death on January 29, 1988. Mr. Lippy is survived by his son, Michael W. Lippy of South Bend, IN; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Carole Lippy of Ft. Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth M. Lippy on May 12, 2009; sister, Alice Abens; and a brother, Benjamin Lippy. Mr. Lippy retired in 1981 from the Allied Signal Corp. after 30 years of service. He also was employed for 15 years at Raco. Mr. Lippy was a member of American Legion #363, Mishawaka Moose 1262, Mishawaka Eagles #2083, was a member and past financial secretary for the Bendix Local #9 Retirees and a lifetime member of the Elkhart DAV. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN. Rev. Larry Dimick will officiate. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 601 W.
