Peggy was the daughter of George Gardner and Judith Gardner, and one of the four wives of Owen Chase, son of Judah Chase and Phebe Meader. They married around 1819.

Some records report Peggy Chase died Sep. 22, 1826, but if these obituaries are reporting the same person, she died in 1824.
