William was the son of David HUFFORD, Sr., and Sarah BEERY.

He married Alice DUVALL on April 21, 1874, in Darke Co., Ohio.

Eleven children were born to the marriage: Bertha Maude, Elizabeth Luetta, Claude Carl, Teddy Warren, Hattie May, Minnie Belle, William Ray, Mary Opal, Olive R., and a set of twins who died as infants.

The family is shown in a photograph in the 1909 "HUFFORD FAMILY HISTORY," on page 195. Information below is from that book:

William was born one mile northwest of Rockbridge, Ohio, in Hocking County. In 1872, he moved from Hocking County to Darke County. He was a farm hand and lived there until 1878 when he sold his personal property and moved to Harvey County, Kansas, for one year. He then went to Reno County and took up Government land. After two years, he moved back to Darke County, Ohio, where he owned a farm west of Ansonia.

He was a farmer and a member of the German-Baptist church.
