Edwinna Beaty, 88, of Ft. Madison, Iowa, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa.

She was born November 9, 1914 in Woodward, Iowa, the daughter of Jack and Martha Tomey Ramsey. She married Ellery Beaty on January 21, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1987. She had lived in the Montrose area since 1943 and the last three years in Ft. Madison. She had worked at Sullivan-Auwerda in Keokuk. She was a member of Montrose United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Katy Carlson and her husband, Gary, of Iowa City, Iowa and Phyllis Schulte of Keokuk, Iowa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, John Beaty.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 17, 2002, at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
