Funeral services for Myrtle Ophelia Chester Julian, 89, Dallas, former longtime resident of Sulphur Springs, Texas were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, in Tapp Funeral Chapel with Charles Redmond, Jr., officiating.

Burial followed in Restlawn Memorial Park with grandsons Gary Drake, Charles Drake, Ronnie Hopkins, Danny Blount, Jay W. Julian, Jr., and John Patrick Julian serving as pallbearers.

The family received visitors from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 26th, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Julian died at 3:05 p.m., Monday, September 25th., in the C.C. Young Memorial Home, Dallas, Texas.

She was born July 8, 1900, to John Graham and Virginia Elizabeth Huffsteddler Chester. She married John Willis Julian in Sulphur Bluff, Texas, August 2, 1919. He preceded her in death in 1976.

Mrs. Julian was a homemaker and a member of the Sulphur Bluff United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Ray Julian, Sulphur Springs; Hoyle Julian, Dallas; Dale Julian, Ardmore, OK; and Jay W. Julian, Sr., Sulphur Springs; six daughters; Maxyne Heimgartner, Dallas; Nadine Drake, Copeville; Gay Hopkins, Dallas; Anita Miller, Arlington; Melba Blount, Sulphur Springs; and Gale Foster, Fort Worth; three brothers; three sisters; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five brothers; three sisters; one son, Leroy Julian; and one grandson, Jeffrey Julian.
