On September 3, 1931 he married Nettie Lavell Hanson in Bountiful, Utah. She preceded him in death on October 9, 1987.
Raymond was an employee of Kennecott Copper for 32 years, and a member of the LDS church. He served in Coblenz, Germany, with the Army of Occupation after World War I.
