G. Josephine Campbell 86, of Rochester died at 11:05 a.m. Friday (Dec 31,1993)at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
She was born Sept. 5, 1907, in Rochester, the daughter of Jasper M. and Nannie Reddish Easley. She married Lyman E. Campbell in 1929 in Rochester. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1973 and three brothers, Robert Easley, George G. Easley and Lyman Easley.
Mrs. Campbell had been acting postmaster in Rochester for three years. She was a member of Rochester Christian Church for 75 years, past matron of Sangamo Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star and past queen of the Daughters of the Nile.
Surviving are two sons, William M. "Bill" Campbell of Green City, Mo., and James L. "Jim" Campbell of Rochester; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester, the Rev. Robert Barr officiating. Burial in Rochester Cemetery.
