A graveside service for James Orsby,89,of Route 2,Waynesboro,will be held at 2 p.m. today in Augusta Memorial Park,conducted by the Rev. Vernon Berry.
He died Monday afternoon (Aug. 20) at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
He was born June 30,1901 in Jefferson County,West,Va..,a son of the James O. Madison and Clara West Madison.
He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years,Agnes Madison,and a son James S. Madison.
Surviving are two sons,Robert Orsby of Waynesboro and Delmar of West Virginia: a daughter, of Waynesboro,13 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church,Brookerdale Rd,Waynesboro,Va 22980.
The Waynesboro chapel of Etter funeral Home is handling arrangements.
