Regina Becker

Regina Becker, 85 of Yankton, died at her home on Monday, Sept. 14.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Helena, Neb., with the Rev. Frank Partusch officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Helena.

Visitations will be at the Kostel Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to service time. A rosary is scheduled at 7:30 followed by a scripture service at 8 p.m. at the Kostel Funeral Home also.

Pallbearers are Robert Borgheiinck, Ron Borgheiinck, Ken Sayler, Kevin Sayler, Tim Becker and Jeff Becker.

Mrs. Becker was born Nov. 19, 1901 on the family farm near St. Helena to Martin and Gertrude (Bollick) Schmidt. She married Fred Becker, Jan. 18, 1921 in St. Helena and they farmed in the area until he died in 1961.

She did housekeeping for the Rev. Zillig in Menominee and moved to Yankton in 1981.

Survivors are eight children: Mrs. Alfred (Margery) Borgheiinck, Fullerton, Neb., Vernon, Hayward, Calif., Erwin, Rock Springs, Wyo., Ralph, San Leandro, Calif., Lawrence, Cobb, Calif., Marlen, Meckling, Mrs. Allen (Betty) Sayler, Lesterville, Mrs. Jim (Bonnie Jean) Ogue, Aurora, Neb.; three sisters, Katie Tielke, Yankton, Elizabeth Schulte, Hartington, Neb., Clara Hausman, St. Helena; 33 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
