Sorrow has succeeded the joys of Christmastide in the home of Knute Reppe of this city, and a great and irreparable loss is the New Years portion of this family. The wife and mother took ill early last week and by Thursday acute peritonitis had developed from which she died Sunday afternoon at about 4 o clock. She was aged about forty-three years and had resided most of her life in this city, being married here Dec. 5 1891. The husband, one daughter and two sons survive her and have the heartfelt sympathy of many friends in their great bereavement. Mrs. Reppe was a true and loving wife and helpmate, a fond and indulgent mother and a good, kind neighbor. Home was to her the dearest spot on earth and she found her greatest happiness there. She was conscious to the last, bidding husband, children and relatives goodbye and partaking of the Lords Supper before the end came. Funeral this afternoon at 2 o clock from the family home on Front Street, Rev. Bradley officiating, and interment in Oak Hill.
