Cas Hopson Dies; Funeral Services Tuesday Afternoon
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Cas H. Hopson, 71, who died in a local hospital at 1:30 a.m. Monday following a lengthy illness.
Services were held at 3 o'clock from the Leagueville Baptist Church with the Rev. T. L. Slimp officiating, and burial was in Leagueville Cemetery. Hassell and Foster of Athens was in charge.
Mr. Hopson, a retired farmer, was born in the Black Jack community of Henderson County and had lived in the county all his life. He had been living in Athens at 518 West Scott for the past six years, moving to this city from the Leagueville community. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Athens.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lela Hopson of Athens, and a sister, Mrs. May Cook of Houston.
