Isaac was the son of Ruben Skidmore and Caroline Robinson. His Death Certificate says that he was born at Cookville, other records say Cole Co., Missouri.

He was married to Roberta Breeden.

Isaac's obit:

"I. W. SKIDMORE, 86, DIES AT HOME IN SPRINGFIELD.

I. W. Skidmore died Wednesday, September 21 in his home, 1216 Ease Commercial Street, Springfield. Mr. Skidmore had been as well as could be expected for one of his age until within recent weeks. He and Mrs. Skidmore, accompanied by a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Rutledge of Conway had returned about a month ago from a motor trip to Tacoma, Wash. Infirmities of age and a heart condition caused his death.

Funeral services will be at 1:pm Sunday in the Boulevard Baptist Church in Springfield, conducted by the Rev. Willis Murdach. The body was brought to Lebanon City Cemetery for burial under direction of the Dunn Funeral Home of Springfield.

Mr. Skidmore was born near Cookville in Pulaski county may 31, 1863. He grew up on a farm there. He married Miss Roberta Breeden and they became parents of seven children.

Mr. Skidmore retired from farm life in 1914 and came to Lebanon to reside. He served as night watchmen at Rice-Stix Factory for 18 years. The family moved to Springfield 10 years ago.

Besides his wife, Mr. Skidmore leaves three sons: John and Emmett Skidmore, Springfield, and Charles Skidmore, Tacoma, Wash. and four daughters: Mrs. Jennie Smith and Mrs. Retta Smith, both of Springfield; Mrs. Lottie Rutledge, Conway; and Mrs. Delia Vincent, Tacoma, Wash. There were 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers in California."
