Husband of Hettie Marie (McGee) Barker. A member of Toms Creek United Methodist Church and choir, he was also a member of the disabled American veterans, and former member of the Glen Burnie American Legion. He retired in 1977 from the U.S. Coast Guard, Procurement Department, Washington, D.C.
He is also survived by three children, Lee E. Cannon, Loretta Drankiewicz, and Gertrude Butka; a brother, Elmer C. Barker; sister, Beatrice Scott; two grandchildren, Theresa Drankiewicz & Charles Butka, all of Maryland.
