He was a retired Hays businessman and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, the Elks club, and the Eagles club.
Survivors: two sons, J. J. of Jackson, Miss., and Al Robert of San Diego, Cal, one daughter, Mrs. LaVera Davis of Loma Linda, Cal., three brothers, Ted and Alfred of Hays and Rich of Denver; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Werth of Reno, Nev., Mrs. Severin Werth of Hays, Mrs. Wendelin Pfeifer of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Marcus Gottschalk of Coffeyville, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-9 p.m. Sunday and a parish wake service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday at Brock's North Hill Chapel.
