FUNERAL AT SUGAR GROVE
Mrs. Floy Stanley, age 49 years, died suddenly of cerebral hemorrhages, at her home south of town, last Friday. She became ill about nine o'clock Friday morning and died at 6:20 o'clock that evening. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Sugar Grove Friends Church.
She was born April 12, 1879 in Plainfield where she had resided all her life, except eleven years which were spent in Kansas. She was married April 16, 1902 to John W. Stanley. Besides the husband, she is survived by the children, Miss Lois Stanley of Tunesassa, New York, Lawrence Stanley who is attending Earlham College, Lena and Louisa; her mother, Mrs. Louisa Woodward of Plainfield; three sisters, Gladys Woodward of Plainfield, Mrs. Fary Rush of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Kate Douglas of Mooresville; and one brother, Mr. Guy Woodward, of Buffalo, New York.
Among the out of town people who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Stanley and family of Salem, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Stanley of Youngstown, Ohio.
Burial was made in Sugar Grove cemetery. Otto Lincoln of Greencastle in charge.
