Funeral services were held for Mrs. Katie W. Douglas, R.R. 2, Mooresville, Saturday in the Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Mrs. Douglas was born in Indiana, April 9, 1891, the daughter of Miles and Louisa Newlin Woodward. Mrs. Douglas died Wednesday. Mrs. Douglas was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church and a former member of the Sugar Grove Home Economics Club. She is the widow of Ralph Douglas who died in 1959. Mrs. Douglas is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Horace Lewellen, Mooresville; a brother, Guy Woodward, Florence, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Mrs. Lloyd Smith, Plainfield, and Douglas Lewellen, Lawton, Oklahoma; and four great-grandchildren. Burial was in the Sugar Grove Cemetery and the Rev. Marlin Dawson conducted the services.
